Property Management Assistant

About the role

The United Nations Support Office in Haiti (UNSOH) is seeking a Property Management Assistant to support the Chief of the Centralised Warehousing Section. This temporary, full‑time role is based in Port‑au‑Prince and focuses on the efficient control and inventory of UN property across the mission.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the supervisor in planning property‑management operations and monitoring progress through statistical analysis and monthly reports.
• Process and review inventory requests and reservations in collaboration with inventory system users and technical units.
• Liaise with Self‑Accounting Units, Procurement, and Movement Control on inventory‑control matters.
• Execute goods issues using Umoja’s Logistics Execution module, ensuring accurate removal from warehouse locations.
• Maintain auditable hard‑copy and electronic records in line with UN administrative instructions and SOPs.
• Utilise business‑intelligence tools to monitor overall inventory performance and generate discrepancy reports.
• Prepare periodic performance and statistical reports for mission management and DOS/SCM.
• Support the drafting of Standard Operating Procedures, flow charts, terms of reference, and job descriptions for the unit.

Required profile

• Experience in property or inventory management within a large organization or UN environment.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail for accurate record‑keeping.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple units and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in preparing clear, concise reports and documentation.
