Seasonal Experienced Tax Preparer

About the role

Jackson Hewitt is seeking a Seasonal Experienced Tax Preparer to guide clients through complex tax filings. You will work directly with individuals and families, helping them navigate multiyear, multistate, and year‑end tax forms while providing compassionate, expert service.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct face‑to‑face tax interviews and prepare accurate individual tax returns.
• Complete e‑filing, provide printed copies for client review, and submit returns to IRS and state agencies.
• Offer IRS audit support and answer tax‑related questions.
• Assist with payment collection, business generation, and cross‑selling of additional services.
• Collaborate with office staff to meet priorities and maintain confidentiality.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 tax seasons of experience preparing individual returns.
• Successful completion of the Jackson Hewitt Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
