Senior Accountant (Cap-Haïtien/Port-au-Prince)

About the role

Acceso is seeking a senior accountant with a collaborative, proactive attitude and strong communication skills. The role provides leadership to the accounting team and ensures proper accounting policies and processes are followed.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee accounts payable, ensure management approval of spend, and manage weekly sales close and monthly financial close.
• Ensure compliance with Haitian tax regulations, file tax returns and payroll withholding on time.
• Manage treasury and cash flow, coordinate foreign exchange needs, and monitor bank balances and liquidity.
• Prepare internal and external financial reports, support inventory valuation, COGS analysis, and stock reconciliations.
• Handle billing, customer invoicing, collections, and project billing in coordination with finance management.

Required profile

• Minimum four years of accounting experience and a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Experience in agribusiness or rural development projects, especially in the food industry.
• Fluency in French, Kreyol and English (or Spanish) with strong attention to detail.

Required skills

• Advanced use of NetSuite ERP.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
