Senior Electrical Engineer – Mission Infrastructure

About the role

The Engineering and Facilities Management Section (EFMS) in Haiti needs a senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design, implementation and commissioning of mission‑critical electrical infrastructure. You will ensure reliable power supply for camps, offices, accommodation, logistics compounds and other operational facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop electrical designs, load calculations, single‑line diagrams and technical specifications for new and upgraded systems.
• Provide technical oversight for power generation, distribution, protection, control and electromechanical installations.
• Manage project planning, procurement, contractor supervision and site inspections.
• Integrate conventional and renewable energy solutions to improve resilience and sustainability.
• Conduct testing, commissioning and hand‑over activities, delivering as‑built documentation.

Required profile

• Senior‑level electrical engineering experience in power generation, distribution and control systems.
• Proven ability to lead infrastructure projects in challenging environments.
• Strong knowledge of engineering standards, safety and quality requirements.
