Senior Health Associate / Specialist – Haiti Operations

About the role

The IDB Group is seeking a Senior Health Associate or Specialist to support its Health Nutrition and Population Division in Haiti. The role focuses on designing, supervising, and evaluating complex health projects, including medical infrastructure, digital health tools, and emergency preparedness.

Key responsibilities

• Lead supervision, monitoring, and evaluation of IDB‑financed health operations in Haiti.
• Coordinate project activities with fiduciary, environmental, and analytical specialists to ensure compliance with IDB guidelines.
• Work closely with executing agencies and stakeholders to resolve complex execution issues.
• Transfer technical and operational knowledge from other country experiences to Haitian entities.
• Engage in policy dialogue with Haitian government authorities and development partners.
• Develop and apply economic and sector‑analytic work to support country, sector, and regional strategies, loan or grant operations, and technical assistance programs.
• Contribute to the origination and conceptualization of new health initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in supervising large‑scale health projects, preferably in low‑ and middle‑income settings.
• Strong understanding of health systems strengthening, financing, and digital health transformation.
• Ability to engage with government officials and development partners on policy matters.
• Familiarity with IDB operational guidelines and project management processes.
