Senior Programme Management Officer (UN Support Office Haiti)

About the role

The United Nations Support Office in Haiti (UNSOH) is seeking a Senior Programme Management Officer to provide strategic and operational advice on programme and project design and implementation. Based in Port‑au‑Prince, the role supports the Gang Suppression Force, the Integrated Office, the Haitian National Police and Armed Forces, as well as the Organization of American States.

Key responsibilities

• Advise the Assistant Secretary‑General/Head of Entity on all programme and project matters.
• Lead development, implementation and evaluation of assigned programmes, guiding sub‑teams through planning, monitoring and assessment.
• Ensure gender mainstreaming is integrated into all actions and policies.
• Oversee research, programme evaluation and synthesis of information from diverse sources.
• Coordinate policy development, conduct surveys, design data‑collection tools and analyse results.
• Supervise preparation of background papers, analyses, report sections and other written outputs.
• Provide substantive support for consultative meetings, including agenda setting and document preparation.
• Manage outreach activities, design and deliver training workshops, seminars and presentations.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in programme management within an international or multilateral environment.
• Proven ability to provide strategic advice to senior leadership.
• Strong understanding of gender mainstreaming principles.
• Excellent analytical, research and reporting skills.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders, including government officials and external consultants.
