Skilled Mason (Artisan) – Talent Pool

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Artisan Mason to join our talent pool and perform maintenance, repair, and installation tasks on a variety of masonry surfaces. The role involves working on both interior and exterior structures, ensuring high‑quality finishes and compliance with safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and repair exterior and interior masonry surfaces using ceramic, clay, cement, concrete block, stone, and tile.
• Mix, apply, and finish plaster on walls, ceilings, and roof slabs, including fiber‑mesh protection at material joints.
• Repair cracks, chips, and structural damage in masonry walls, floors, and elements.
• Install and repair ceramic, floor, and wall tiles in kitchens, toilets, and accommodation areas.
• Apply waterproofing treatments to masonry surfaces and joints.
• Construct and repair concrete block walls, foundations, and other structural components.
• Prepare mortar mixes with correct cement‑sand ratios and perform grouting and joint filling for tiled surfaces.
• Report health, safety, environmental, and food‑safety hazards or near‑miss incidents and follow ISO standards.

Required profile

• Trade certification in masonry.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on masonry experience.
• Basic English; French or Creole is an advantage.
• Physical fitness and ability to wear full PPE (high‑visibility gear, safety boots, helmet, mask, goggles, hearing protectors, gloves).
• Attendance at daily safety briefings.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hand tools, power mixers, and measuring equipment.
• Expertise in masonry materials: ceramic, clay, cement, block, stone, tile.
• Plaster application and finishing techniques.
• Waterproofing methods for masonry.
• Mortar mixing with accurate cement‑sand ratios.
• Grouting and joint filling for tiled surfaces.
