Technician – HVAC (International Talent Pool)

About the role

The Technician – HVAC will conduct comprehensive inspections, testing, and quality assessments of a wide range of heating, ventilation and air‑conditioning systems. You will ensure compliance with ASHRAE standards, ISO requirements and local health, safety and environmental regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect split units, package units, VRF/VRV systems, chillers and air handling units.
• Examine ventilation components such as exhaust fans, fresh‑air systems, ductwork, dampers and filtration devices.
• Verify refrigerant levels, perform leak detection and assess refrigerant‑management compliance.
• Check HVAC control systems, thermostats and BMS interfaces.
• Conduct indoor‑air‑quality assessments, including filtration efficiency and ventilation rates.
• Test system performance parameters (airflow, pressure, temperature) and identify maintenance needs.
• Quantify material and spare‑part requirements for corrective actions.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports with findings and recommendations.
• Report any health, safety, environmental or food‑safety hazards observed on site.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma in HVAC or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in HVAC inspection.
• Fluent English; French or Creole is a plus.
• Willingness to wear required PPE and attend daily safety briefings.

Required skills

• Use of HVAC gauges, thermal imaging cameras and system analyzers.
• Knowledge of split, package, VRF/VRV, chiller and AHU systems.
• Expertise in ventilation components – exhaust fans, fresh‑air units, ductwork, dampers, filtration.
• Refrigerant management and leak detection.
• HVAC controls, thermostats and BMS integration.
• Indoor air‑quality assessment techniques.
• Familiarity with ASHRAE standards.
