Transaction Monitoring Compliance Analyst

About the role

Digicel is seeking a Transaction Monitoring Compliance Analyst to strengthen its anti‑money‑laundering (AML) and counter‑financing of terrorism (CFT) framework. The analyst will ensure that transaction monitoring and Know‑Your‑Customer (KYC) processes are effective, compliant with local policies and international regulations, and support the company’s commitment to financial integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily transaction monitoring, promptly identifying and escalating unusual or suspicious activity.
• Review and analyse flagged transactions using risk‑based approaches and determine appropriate actions, including filing suspicious activity reports.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, agents and remittance partners to investigate alerts and provide detailed findings.
• Conduct compliance checks and on‑site visits to verify adherence to KYC and record‑retention policies.
• Maintain and update customer due‑diligence (CDD) and enhanced due‑diligence (EDD) information, including beneficial‑ownership, PEP status and adverse‑media reviews.
• Follow up with staff, agents and customers to obtain missing due‑diligence documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in AML/CFT compliance, transaction monitoring or related financial‑crime risk functions.
• Strong knowledge of international AML standards (FATF, AMLD, FinCEN) and local regulatory requirements.
• Ability to conduct thorough KYC assessments and enhanced due‑diligence reviews for high‑risk customers.
• Excellent analytical and investigative skills with a detail‑oriented mindset.
