Wastewater Operator

About the role

The Wastewater Operator will ensure that our treatment facility operates in full compliance with all applicable discharge permits. Working closely with the Facility Manager, the operator will support daily residual management and maintain accurate chemical inventory records.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control wastewater treatment processes to meet permit requirements.
• Assist the Facility Manager with the handling, storage, and documentation of residuals.
• Maintain up‑to‑date chemical inventory logs and ensure proper usage.
• Perform routine inspections, sampling, and reporting of effluent quality.
• Identify and troubleshoot operational issues to minimize downtime.

Required profile

• Experience in wastewater or water treatment operations.
• Familiarity with environmental regulations and discharge permits.
• Ability to work safely in a plant environment and follow standard operating procedures.
• Strong attention to detail for record‑keeping and compliance reporting.

Required skills

• Knowledge of wastewater treatment equipment and processes.
• Understanding of chemical handling and inventory management.
