Water, Hygiene & Sanitation Manager – International Humanitarian Missions

About the role

Planning, coordinating, implementing and monitoring water, hygiene and sanitation activities for international humanitarian missions, ensuring compliance with MSF protocols and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and review the annual Watsan budget in collaboration with project and logistics coordinators.
• Monitor day‑to‑day implementation of water supply, excreta disposal, waste management, hygiene and infection control activities.
• Conduct routine assessments with medical teams to identify needs and recommend interventions.
• Manage procurement, inventory and technical specifications of Watsan materials and equipment.
• Provide technical support to medical teams on infection‑control risk factors and integrate Watsan into medical interventions.

Required profile

• Engineering or equivalent academic background.
• At least 2 years of technical experience in water and sanitation projects.
• Minimum 6 months of hands‑on field emergency Watsan experience in humanitarian settings.
• Fluent English (B2+) and Spanish (C1+); French is an asset.

Required skills

• Technical knowledge of water supply, excreta disposal, waste and wastewater management.
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet).
