Web Content Developer – International Consultant (Home-based)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking an experienced Web Content Developer to work as an International Consultant on the redesign and migration of the IOM Haiti website. The role is home‑based and will be carried out under the supervision of the Programme Support Unit and in close coordination with media and communication teams in Haiti, Panama and Manila.

Key responsibilities

• Support the update of the IOM Haiti website in line with the country strategy and the requirements of the Online Communication Unit.
• Develop the site structure and content map, ensuring alignment with organisational standards.
• Draft, edit and proof‑read website copy in collaboration with technical and programme teams.
• Collect, organise and track documentation needed for the migration to the new platform.
• Select appropriate photos and videos and work with the graphic designer to create banners and visual elements.
• Coordinate validation and approval processes with local, regional and global stakeholders.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in digital communications, public information, journalism, branding or a related field with at least four years of relevant experience, or a university degree with seven years of experience.
• Proven experience creating content for digital channels and managing multimedia material.
• Strong ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and handle multiple priorities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and capacity to collaborate with colleagues from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Gender awareness and sensitivity; familiarity with UN or other international agencies is an advantage.
