General Helper – Manual Labor Support (Talent Pooling)

About the role

This position provides manual labour support to skilled technicians across multiple trades such as carpentry, masonry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, welding and painting. Working under supervision, the General Helper assists with material handling, site preparation, cleanup and basic tasks to keep projects moving efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Transport materials, tools and equipment to and from work sites.
• Prepare work areas, set up and clear zones as directed.
• Mix mortar, concrete, paint and other materials under guidance.
• Assist skilled tradespeople with loading, unloading and basic hand‑tool tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness of tools, equipment and work areas.
• Support waste disposal, site cleanup and housekeeping activities.
• Report health, safety, environmental and food‑safety hazards or near‑miss incidents.
• Follow safety instructions, wear required PPE and attend daily safety briefings.

Required profile

• Basic literacy and communication skills.
• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks.
• Willingness to work in a team and follow instructions.
• French or Creole language skills are advantageous.
• Commitment to safety procedures and proper use of PPE.
