Budget Officer

About the role

UNICEF Haiti is looking for a dynamic, analytical, and results‑oriented Budget Officer to join the Operations team. Reporting to the Deputy Representative Operations, the role supports effective financial resource management, budget planning, and donor reporting across programmes and operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in formulating financial strategies and concepts aligned with UNICEF’s objectives.
• Conduct budget analysis to ensure resources are allocated for maximum results.
• Manage contribution processes, including budget planning, allocation, and ongoing monitoring.
• Prepare and maintain financial dashboard reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Produce financial reports related to resource mobilisation and donor reporting.
• Provide VISION system support for fund management.
• Oversee cost distribution and payroll processes.

Required profile

• Completed bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Experience or familiarity with budget planning and financial monitoring in a humanitarian or development context.
• Ability to work collaboratively with country, regional, and headquarters teams.
