Child Protection Specialist – Monitoring & Reporting Mechanisms (P-3)

About the role

The Child Protection Specialist will lead the implementation and strengthening of Haiti’s Monitoring and Reporting Mechanism (MRM) for grave violations against children. Reporting to the Chief of the Child Protection Section, the role ensures accurate data collection, analysis, and dissemination to support advocacy and programmatic responses.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and strengthen the MRM across field and regional offices.
• Manage MRM data flow: receipt, analysis, compilation, and transmission for validation.
• Prepare CTFMR reports, briefings, and support advocacy on child rights violations.
• Facilitate partnerships with the MRM Technical Working Group, regional offices, and headquarters.
• Support emergency child protection actions and programming for children affected by conflict.
• Assist with fundraising, fund management, and reporting for MRM activities.
• Promote mainstreaming of child protection and CAAC concerns within UN operations.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in child protection, monitoring, and reporting mechanisms.
• Proven ability to coordinate multi‑stakeholder partnerships.
• Strong analytical and report‑writing skills.
• Experience working in humanitarian or UN contexts, preferably in Haiti.
