Electro-Mechanic for Vehicle Fleet and Garage

About the role

The Electro-Mechanic will support the maintenance and repair of light vehicles, trucks and generators used by WFP in Miragoane, Jérémie and Jacmel, ensuring smooth operation of humanitarian activities in southern Haiti.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and major repairs on vehicles and generators, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, air‑conditioning and electrical systems.
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance for all mechanical and hydraulic systems according to technical guidelines.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical failures and decide on part restoration or replacement.
• Manage spare‑parts inventory, request supplies, receive and issue parts, and keep accurate stock records.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the workshop and ensure proper use of tools.

Required profile

• Technical diploma or higher in automotive mechanics or electromechanical engineering.
• At least 10 years of progressive experience in automotive and electrical vehicle maintenance.
• Fluent in French; intermediate knowledge of another UN official language is desirable.
• Haitian nationality.
