Housekeeping Manager

About the role

The Housekeeping Manager will lead all cleaning and sanitation activities across the camp’s accommodation, common areas, offices, and support facilities. This role ensures that cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation standards meet the Scope of Work, KPIs, health & safety regulations, and client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and supervise housekeeping operations for all camp facilities.
• Manage housekeeping supervisors and attendants, including rosters, attendance, performance monitoring and disciplinary actions.
• Develop and maintain cleaning procedures, work instructions and checklists.
• Control the use, storage and safety of cleaning chemicals, consumables, linen and equipment.
• Coordinate with logistics, maintenance and accommodation teams to resolve cleanliness issues and handle room turnovers.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits, implement corrective actions promptly.
• Prepare reports on manpower deployment, stock usage, inspection results and incidents.
• Train staff on cleaning techniques, hygiene standards, customer service and health & safety procedures.
• Support mobilisation and demobilisation of housekeeping services as required.

Required profile

• Diploma in Hospitality Management, Facilities Management or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of housekeeping experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety (ISO 45001) and environmental (ISO 14001) standards.
• Fluent in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Understanding of housekeeping equipment and chemical handling systems.
• Inventory tracking and stock control.
• Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 requirements.
