Project Development Manager - Port-au-Prince

About the role

Acted, a humanitarian and development organisation working in Haiti, is recruiting a Project Development Manager (PDM) in Port-au-Prince. The PDM acts as the link with donors, develops project proposals in line with Acted's global and in-country strategy, manages grants and coordinates internally while contributing to the external communication strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Positioning and fundraising: context analysis, strategy development, external relations, proposal development, contracting and fund raising
• Grant management: contract follow-up, reporting and partner follow-up
• Management and internal coordination: staff management, internal coordination and communication, filing
• External communication

Required profile

• Master's degree in a relevant field such as International Relations, Development or Political Science
• Previous experience in the humanitarian field, proposal development, grant management and donor relations
• Previous field experience is required
• Eligibility for an international contract is required; the position is classified as international staff

Required skills

• Knowledge of the humanitarian aid system and understanding of donor systems
• External representation skills
• Ability to coordinate and manage a team, and to work independently in a multicultural context
• Strong oral and written communication and analytical skills

What we offer

• Salary of 3,300 to 3,500 EUR per month before income tax, plus a monthly living allowance of 300 USD

• Flights every 6 months and visa fees covered, plus luggage transport contribution up to 100 kg
• R&R every 3 months with flights covered up to 500 USD and a 200 USD allowance
• Annual leave of 25 to 43 days, pre-departure training including 4 days of in-situ security training, tax advice and psychological assistance
