Security Associate (G-6) – Temporary 6‑Month Assignment

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Security Associate (G‑6) for a six‑month temporary appointment in Port‑au‑Prince, Haiti. The role provides practical, operational, and field‑based security support to protect staff, premises, and assets during both duty‑station activities and official travel.

Key responsibilities

• Accompany UNICEF personnel on missions and field movements, ensuring their safety.
• Observe, collect and report security‑related information from the ground.
• Maintain regular liaison with local authorities, community interlocutors and other relevant stakeholders.
• Support knowledge management and capacity‑building activities related to security.
• Drive when required, adhering to defensive‑driving standards and UN security policies.

Required profile

• Completion of secondary education.
• Relevant training in technical, military or security fields, guarding, first aid or defensive driving.
• Valid national driver’s licence.
• Minimum six years of progressively responsible experience in a security‑related environment.
• Fluency in French; knowledge of Haitian Creole is an asset.
