Senior DDR Coordinator (P-4)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a senior professional to lead the Disarmament, Demobilization, and Reintegration (DDR) and Community Violence Reduction (CVR) programme in Haiti. The coordinator will work closely with the Haitian government, UN agencies, and local partners to design, implement and monitor a comprehensive DDR framework that contributes to stability and social cohesion.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the DDR/CVR programme, ensuring alignment with national priorities and UN guidance.
• Coordinate the UN Inter‑Agency Working Group on Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration, facilitating joint planning and information sharing.
• Oversee programme implementation, including beneficiary selection, training, reintegration support and community‑based violence reduction activities.
• Manage the programme budget, financial reporting and compliance with IOM and donor regulations.
• Supervise and mentor a multidisciplinary team of field officers, consultants and partners.
• Monitor and evaluate programme outcomes, produce analytical reports and recommend adjustments.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree in peacebuilding, security studies, international relations, public administration or a related field.
• At least eight years of professional experience in DDR, post‑conflict reconstruction or humanitarian programmes, preferably in fragile contexts.
• Demonstrated experience managing multi‑stakeholder projects and large budgets.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills, with fluency in English; French is an asset.
• Ability to work safely in insecure environments and travel frequently within Haiti.
