Advocacy and Communications Officer (Fixed-Term)

About the role

UNICEF Haiti is seeking a passionate Advocacy and Communications Officer to lead high‑impact advocacy campaigns, media engagement and strategic partnerships in Port‑au‑Prince. Reporting to the Chief of Communication, you will shape and execute integrated strategies that influence policy, mobilise public support and amplify the voices of children across Haiti.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and monitor advocacy and communication strategies aligned with UNICEF’s objectives.
  • Lead media relations activities, including press releases, interviews and media monitoring.
  • Coordinate digital communication initiatives to raise awareness of children’s rights.
  • Support project planning, budgeting and reporting for advocacy programmes.
  • Provide capacity‑building support to partners and internal teams.
  • Engage stakeholders, including government officials, NGOs and donors, to strengthen commitments for children.
