Air Operations Assistant (G5) – UN Support Office Haiti

About the role

The Air Operations Assistant supports the United Nations Support Office in Haiti by ensuring safe and efficient air transport for civilian and military personnel, equipment and goods involved in field missions. The position is based in Port‑au‑Prince and may involve temporary assignments to other Haitian airports.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure safety and efficient air transportation for civilian and military personnel, equipment and goods to and from the field mission.
• Report to the Chief of the Air Terminal Unit and coordinate with the Aviation Section.
• Be prepared to support operations at other airports or locations within Haiti, such as Cap‑Haitien or Gonaïves.
• Work outside normal working hours, including weekends and holidays, as operational requirements dictate.

Required profile

• Willingness to be temporarily assigned to different sites within Haiti.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Readiness to support joint operations with the Gang Suppression Force, Haitian National Police and Armed Forces.
