Air Operations Assistant (G6) – UN Support Office Haiti

About the role

The United Nations Support Office in Haiti (UNSOH) is seeking a temporary Air Operations Assistant (G6) to support air‑operations services for the Gang Suppression Force, the Integrated Office, Haitian National Police and Armed Forces. The role is based in Port‑au‑Prince and reports to the Chief of the Mission Aviation Operations Center (MAOC).

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, monitoring and coordinating UN and partner flights.
• Support the coordination of integrated search‑and‑rescue operations for UN air assets and other aircraft upon request.
• Provide operational support to the Chief of MAOC and the Aviation Section.
• Be prepared for temporary assignments to other Haitian airports, including Cap‑Haïtien.
• Work outside normal hours, including weekends and holidays, as operational needs dictate.

Required profile

• Temporary (fixed‑term) appointment.
• Based in Port‑au‑Prince with flexibility to travel to other airports.
• Ability to work irregular hours and respond to urgent operational demands.
• Reports directly to the Chief of MAOC.
