Area Coordinator – Multiple Locations

About the role

The Area Coordinator will represent Acted’s interests with local authorities, donors, beneficiary communities and other key stakeholders across various locations. Reporting to senior management, the role ensures program quality, operational implementation and strategic growth while maintaining strong representation.

Key responsibilities

• Represent Acted with local authorities, donors and beneficiary communities.
• Supervise Project Managers to ensure projects meet beneficiary needs and align with Acted’s strategy, donor guidelines and approved budgets.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations, security, finance, logistics and HR within the assigned area.
• Lead context analysis, strategy implementation, networking and advocacy activities.
• Manage partner relationships, project tracking, quality control and compliance.

Required profile

• Background in international development, emergency operations or humanitarian programmes.
• Minimum four years of relevant professional experience, including security management.
• Proven leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and negotiate with diverse stakeholders.

Required skills

• Project management in emergency or development contexts.
• Basic management skills in HR, finance and logistics.
