Budget Officer – Fixed Term (NO-2) – Port-au-Prince

About the role

UNICEF Haiti is looking for a dynamic Budget Officer to join the Operations team in Port‑au‑Prince. Reporting to the Deputy Representative Operations, the role supports effective management of financial resources, budget planning and donor reporting in a complex humanitarian environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in formulating financial strategies and concepts for programme and operational budgets.
• Conduct budget analysis and monitor allocations to ensure results‑based spending.
• Manage contribution planning, monitoring and financial dashboard reporting.
• Prepare financial reports for resource mobilisation, donor reporting and internal governance.
• Support cost distribution, payroll processing and fund management activities.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in financial management, budgeting or accounting, preferably in the humanitarian or development sector.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret financial data.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with country, regional and headquarters teams.
