Business Development Manager – Various locations

About the role

Acted is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead positioning, business development and fundraising activities across its humanitarian, development, climate and environmental programmes. The role supports the Country Director in analysing contexts, identifying funding opportunities and translating programme strengths into compelling value propositions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse socio‑economic, humanitarian, climate and political contexts to inform funding strategies.
• Monitor trends in humanitarian aid, climate finance and private‑sector engagement, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Maintain and update stakeholder, donor and partner maps, covering traditional donors and climate finance actors.
• Contribute to country programme and business development strategy aligned with Acted’s global priorities.
• Lead the development of fundraising documents (EOIs, concept notes, full proposals) ensuring technical soundness and compliance.
• Coordinate with programme, MEAL, FLATS and HQ teams to guarantee proposal quality and risk awareness.
• Support negotiations with donors and partners, reviewing contracts as needed.
