Country Representative – Haiti

About the role

The IDB Group is seeking an experienced professional to lead its Country Office in Haiti. As the Country Representative, you will be the primary liaison between the Bank and government, private sector, civil society and international partners, driving development initiatives that align with the IDB’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Represent the IDB Group in Haiti, fostering relationships with government officials, private sector actors, NGOs and international donors.
• Lead the development and implementation of the Country Strategy, ensuring alignment with the IDB Group’s Institutional Strategy and development impact criteria.
• Coordinate IDB Invest and IDB Lab activities, identifying business opportunities that support their mandates.
• Align public and private operations with national priorities and allocate human and financial resources to achieve program goals.
• Manage, advise and evaluate Country Office staff on a matrix basis to optimize performance.
• Ensure compliance with IDB Group policies on ethics, workplace respect and operational standards.
• Develop and execute a communication strategy to disseminate knowledge and intelligence to internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in managing development programs or country offices in the public or private sector.
• Deep understanding of public‑private partnership models and development financing.
• Strong track record of strategic planning, stakeholder engagement and results‑oriented leadership.
• Excellent knowledge of Haiti’s economic, social and political context.
