Head Freshman Team Coach

About the role

The Head Freshman Team Coach will lead the freshman boys basketball program, overseeing all aspects of training, competition, and player development. This position reports to the athletic department and works closely with school staff to support student‑athletes.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and conduct daily practice sessions for the freshman boys basketball team.
• Develop game strategies, line‑ups, and in‑game adjustments for competitive matches.
• Assess player performance, provide feedback, and foster skill improvement.
• Coordinate schedules, travel arrangements, and equipment needs.
• Promote a positive, disciplined environment that emphasizes teamwork, sportsmanship, and academic balance.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience coaching basketball at the youth or high‑school level.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities with teenage athletes.
• Commitment to the educational mission of the institution.

Required skills

• Knowledge of basketball rules, tactics, and training methodologies.
• Ability to design effective practice drills and conditioning programs.
