Head of Programming I – Haiti

About the role

As a member of the Country Program Senior Management Team, you will provide strategic direction, leadership and management of the country program to ensure high‑quality programming for poor and vulnerable populations in Haiti.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for the country program and design strategic frameworks and resource‑mobilization plans.
• Lead high‑quality project design, ensure integration across sectors, and supervise talent management and staff development.
• Oversee budgeting, procurement, MEAL policy implementation, and business development to secure donor funding.
• Build and strengthen partnerships, deliver capacity‑building trainings, and promote a learning‑oriented environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in International Development, International Relations or a related field.
• 5–8 years of field‑based program management with at least 2 years in senior management.
• Proven experience in proposal development, donor reporting and multi‑donor grant management, preferably USAID.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, coach staff and manage security risks.

Required skills

• Advanced English writing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience using web‑conferencing applications and budget‑management systems.
