Head of Support Haiti

About the role

The Norwegian Refugee Council is looking for a dynamic Head of Support to lead its support functions in Haiti. This senior position ensures that finance, logistics, human resources, ICT, risk and compliance services operate efficiently and contribute to high‑quality programme delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Provide line‑management for direct reports, including performance management, goal setting and staff development.
• Oversee workforce planning, recruitment, induction and duty‑of‑care for all staff.
• Strengthen the support unit by delivering training, coaching and ensuring adherence to NRC standards.
• Facilitate the strategic input of support functions into the Country Strategy and Plan of Action.
• Build collaborative relationships between support and programme teams, ensuring timely and respectful communication.
• Partner with the Country Director and Finance Manager to produce accurate periodic financial reports for the regional team.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of senior management experience in a humanitarian or recovery context.
• Proven ability to allocate resources and manage costs in complex, volatile environments.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with documented results in similar roles.
• Fluency in English and French, both written and spoken.
• Knowledge of the Haitian context and experience with start‑up or emergency response operations.

Required skills

• Solid understanding of logistics, procurement, HR and finance routines in humanitarian settings.
