HR Specialist – Remote Fintech & Cryptocurrency

About the role

We are looking for an HR Specialist to support the full employee lifecycle for a fast‑growing fintech and cryptocurrency client. The role is fully remote and focuses on HR operations, employee experience, and maintaining accurate HR systems.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee questions on HR policies, procedures, and employment matters.
• Coordinate onboarding activities, including paperwork, system setup, orientation scheduling, and first‑day logistics.
• Manage off‑boarding workflows, conduct exit interviews, and ensure timely removal of system access.
• Administer the Paylocity HRIS – configure employee records, security permissions, workflows, and troubleshoot issues.
• Identify and implement improvements to HRIS processes in partnership with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Create recurring and ad‑hoc HR reports and dashboards on headcount, turnover, hiring metrics, and organizational trends.
• Prepare executive‑ready presentations and PowerPoint decks for senior leadership meetings.
• Maintain employee personnel files and ensure compliance with U.S. employment laws, audit requirements, and government reporting (EEO‑1, labor surveys, census).
• Support managers with documentation, coaching conversations, and policy interpretation.
