Human Resources Officer

About the role

The United Nations Support Office in Haiti (UNSOH) is seeking a Human Resources Officer (P‑3) to join its Human Resources Section in Port‑au‑Prince. Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, the incumbent will support the Office’s mandate to assist the Gang Suppression Force, the Integrated Office, the Haitian National Police and Armed Forces, as well as the OAS.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advice on and apply UN staff rules, regulations and internal procedures.
• Oversee HR planning, staffing budget reviews and conditions of service.
• Administer entitlements and benefits, ensuring quality assurance of ERP transactions.
• Lead recruitment and selection processes, including job posting, candidate screening, interview coordination and recommendation reviews.
• Coordinate language proficiency examinations and other professional tests for staff recruitment.
• Support performance management, staff development and administration of justice matters.
• Participate in task forces and working groups to develop recruitment policies and procedures.

Required profile

• UN P‑3 level or equivalent professional experience in human resources management.
• Familiarity with UN staff rules, recruitment processes and HR administrative procedures.
• Experience working in an international or multilateral environment is preferred.
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems for HR transactions.
