IT Specialist – Short‑Term Consultancy for Haiti Monitoring

About the role

University Research Co., LLC (URC) seeks a short‑term IT Specialist to design, configure and launch the technology environment supporting the Haiti Independent Monitoring and Verification Activity (IMVA). The role focuses on startup and integration of data platforms, workflows and AI‑assisted processes, and will hand over a maintainable system to the project team.

Key responsibilities

• Translate IMVA technical requirements into system specifications and recommend a minimal‑duplication architecture.
• Configure and integrate monitoring databases, TPM Tracker, GIS tools, dashboards and document repositories.
• Develop and automate data flows, validation, consolidation and reporting, including AI‑assisted workflows.
• Establish security controls, user roles, authentication, backup, recovery and data protection procedures.
• Test, pilot and document the full workflow, and train project staff for ongoing administration.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, data science or related field (or equivalent experience).
• At least 10 years of experience designing, configuring or managing integrated information systems.
• Professional proficiency in English; French strongly preferred.

• AI‑assisted tools, generative AI and AI‑enabled workflow automation.
• Data visualization platforms such as Power BI, Tableau or ArcGIS.
• Database design, APIs, data integration and user access management.
