Maintenance Technician – Facilities & Greenhouse Systems

About the role

Lufa Farms is seeking a motivated Maintenance Technician to join its Projects team. You will be responsible for keeping building and greenhouse systems running safely and efficiently, supporting the company’s mission to grow food locally and responsibly.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective and emergency maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, irrigation, ventilation, heating, cooling and hydroponic systems.
• Conduct regular inspections (daily to annual) to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
• Install, maintain and repair greenhouse equipment, pumps, fans, lighting, PVC and other operational components.
• Diagnose equipment failures, respond to alarms and complete repairs to minimise downtime.
• Carry out general building maintenance such as carpentry, painting, ceiling‑tile and lighting‑fixture replacement, and minor electrical/mechanical repairs.
• Respond promptly to work orders and emergency service requests, and complete documentation in the CMMS.
• Maintain organized inventory of spare parts, tools and supplies.

Required profile

• DEP or DEC in building maintenance, industrial mechanics, electromechanics or equivalent experience.
• At least three years of hands‑on maintenance experience.
• Highly independent, able to work in a fast‑changing environment.
• Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.
• Bilingual in French and English.
