Program Assistant – Social Safety Nets

About the role

The World Food Programme in Haiti is seeking a Program Assistant to support the implementation of social safety net measures, including financial inclusion and cash transfers for vulnerable households. The role focuses on strengthening the capacity of local partners, managing data, and ensuring high‑quality delivery of assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate financial inclusion activities linked to cash‑transfer programmes, working closely with partners, donors and the MAST.
• Develop and deploy planning and coordination tools, organise and facilitate stakeholder meetings.
• Create or adapt training materials on economic and financial inclusion, including the establishment of Village Savings and Credit Associations (AVEC).
• Support partners during implementation, ensuring quality standards and proposing technical adjustments.
• Manage beneficiary data to improve monitoring, contribute to digital tools for data collection and reporting.
• Conduct field visits to monitor progress, identify risks and propose mitigation measures, especially with AVECs.
• Coach government institutions on planning and monitoring tools to ensure sustainable hand‑over of activities.
• Prepare clear, timely reports for WFP management and donors.
• Support digitalisation of cash‑transfer activities, including development of tools and training beneficiaries on digital wallets.
