WASH Coordinator – Emergency Response Team

About the role

The Emergency Response Team (ERT) WASH Coordinator will lead rapid assessments and coordinate emergency water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) interventions across multiple sites in Haiti. The role supports vulnerable populations, including IDPs and host communities, by ensuring timely, evidence‑based actions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct initial multi‑sector assessments with the ERT, stakeholders and affected populations to identify priorities and required resources.
• Prepare assessment documentation, including desk reviews and drafting Terms of Reference.
• Analyze collected data, produce assessment reports and present findings to coordination bodies.
• Participate in cluster and coordination meetings at headquarters and field level.
• Evaluate in‑country response capacities (human, material, financial) with relevant actors.
• Design, implement and coordinate emergency WASH interventions, adapting to evolving needs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in emergency WASH coordination or similar humanitarian response.
• Ability to conduct rapid needs assessments and prioritize multi‑sectorial needs.
• Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and report writing.
• Experience working with humanitarian clusters and coordination mechanisms.
