WASH Coordinator – Emergency Response Team

About the role

The WASH Coordinator will lead rapid needs assessments and coordinate emergency water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) interventions for displaced populations across multiple sites in Haiti. The role supports the Emergency Response Team (ERT) in designing, implementing and monitoring multi‑sectorial emergency actions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct initial multi‑sector assessments with the ERT, stakeholders and affected communities to identify priorities, resources and immediate response actions.
• Prepare assessment documentation, including desk reviews and drafting Terms of Reference.
• Analyse collected data and produce assessment reports for decision‑making.
• Participate in cluster and coordination meetings at headquarters and field level.
• Assess in‑country response capacities (human, material and financial) with relevant actors.
• Contribute to the identification and coordination of emergency WASH interventions and, when needed, interventions in other sectors.
