Wellness Nurse (NOC PRN) – Part‑time

About the role

The Wellness Nurse (NOC PRN) provides clinical monitoring and support to residents in a retirement community. Working on an as‑needed schedule, the nurse collaborates with community nurses, caregivers and medication staff to ensure regulatory compliance and high‑quality care.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating resident admissions, including screening, assessment and care‑needs planning.
• Deliver care as outlined in resident care plans and administer medications according to physicians’ orders.
• Coordinate care and services with external providers such as resident physicians.
• Document observations, report significant changes and maintain accurate resident records.
• Stay current with state regulations, policies and procedures to ensure compliance.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program with a current LPN or RN license.
• Three years of experience in assessment and geriatric nursing (preferred).
• Working knowledge of state regulations, policies and procedures.
• Positive attitude, eagerness to learn and compassion for residents.
