About the role

The Hearing Aid Practitioner provides direct patient care in an urban medical clinic or private practice setting. The role involves assessing patients, selecting appropriate hearing solutions, and maintaining detailed clinical records.

Key responsibilities

• Examine patients to determine hearing needs.
• Select suitable exercises, apparatus, and manipulations.
• Take earmold impressions and fit, adjust, and fine‑tune hearing instruments.
• Maintain clinical and progress reports.
• Confer with other health professionals to coordinate care.
• Perform general clerical duties as required.

Required profile

• Licensure by a provincial or territorial regulatory body as a Hearing Instrument Practitioner.
• Minimum five years of experience in audiology or related field.
• Specialization in audiology.

Required skills

• Earmold impression taking.
• Hearing instrument fitting and adjustment.
