Remote Medical Interpreter (OPI/VRI)

About the role

LanguagesCx is seeking a full‑time remote Medical Interpreter to provide over‑the‑phone (OPI) and video remote interpreting (VRI) services. You will enable clear communication between healthcare professionals and patients who have limited English proficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret medical conversations accurately and confidentially via phone or video.
• Translate medical terminology and patient information effectively.
• Maintain professional and ethical standards throughout all interactions.
• Ensure cultural sensitivity and neutrality while preserving patient confidentiality.

Required profile

• Fluency in English and at least one additional language.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology used in clinical settings.
• Experience in translation and simultaneous interpretation.
• Excellent listening, communication, and decision‑making abilities.
• Certification in medical interpretation is highly preferred.
• Prior experience in healthcare environments is a plus.
