Deputy Director of Finance (Haiti)

About the role

The International Rescue Committee is seeking a Deputy Director of Finance to provide strategic financial leadership for its Haiti country program. Reporting to both the Country Director and the Regional Controller, the role ensures robust financial infrastructure, compliance, and analytical support for program decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide financial analysis and information to support senior management decisions aligned with IRC, regional, and country strategies.
• Contribute to the development and monitoring of the Country Program’s strategic annual plan and financial targets.
• Ensure all in‑country financial practices comply with IRC policies, donor requirements, and local regulations.
• Develop and adapt finance procedures to complement global policies where needed.
• Monitor month‑end close, financial reporting, and internal controls, advising the Country Director on performance and risk.
• Act as the primary finance business partner for the senior management team, Country Director, and regional staff.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in senior financial management within NGOs or international development.
• Proven ability to lead finance teams and manage complex budgets.
• Strong understanding of donor compliance, US and local financial regulations.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
