Electrician (Cruise Ship)

About the role

The Electrician is responsible for the maintenance and safe operation of all electrical equipment aboard the private destination cruise ship, including high‑voltage systems. This role ensures equipment reliability, conducts diagnostics, performs repairs, and keeps accurate inspection records while adhering to strict safety and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and safely operate all electrical equipment, including high‑voltage installations.
• Service refrigeration, air‑conditioning units, and perform electrical repairs on the tender boat.
• Verify and update electrical system documentation (drawings, manuals) and ensure records are "as‑built".
• Register all system items in the AMOS maintenance system and report discrepancies.
• Operate heavy equipment and vehicles in a safety‑first culture.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly repair and maintenance logs.
• Participate in trainings, meetings, and adhere to opening/closing procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for guests and crew.

Required profile

• Demonstrated expertise in overhauling and maintaining electrical equipment.
• Strong commitment to safety protocols and guest/crew wellbeing.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills for reporting issues.
• Ability to follow Royal Caribbean brand standards, SOPs, and confidentiality agreements.
