Maintenance Technician – Renascent Place

About the role

The John Stewart Company is seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician to support the Renascent Place community. You will handle preventative, emergency, cosmetic and routine maintenance tasks while ensuring safety, quality and resident satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule and respond to work orders, following up with residents and management.
• Perform preventative maintenance and keep schedules up to date.
• Carry out cosmetic and routine repairs throughout the property.
• Prepare units for new move‑ins, conduct move‑in and move‑out inspections, and meet turnover deadlines.
• Conduct quarterly inspections with the Property Manager.
• Execute plumbing, electrical, mechanical, carpentry and masonry repairs and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate, schedule and oversee vendor work as needed.
• Provide on‑call coverage for off‑shift and weekend emergencies.

Required profile

• Ability to work on‑call and reliable personal transportation.
• Basic mathematical and computer skills with fluency in English; bilingualism is a plus.
• Strong time‑management abilities.
• Minimum two years of experience performing similar maintenance tasks in an apartment or comparable setting.
• Knowledge of REAC or other regulatory inspections is advantageous.
