MEAL Manager – Humanitarian Programs

About the role

Acted is seeking a MEAL Manager to design, implement and oversee monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning systems across its humanitarian and development programmes. The role combines technical MEAL expertise with a strong climate and environmental awareness.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate all MEAL activities in line with Acted’s global procedures.
• Lead and manage the MEAL department and its team.
• Develop and deliver capacity‑building and training programmes for staff and partners.
• Design and implement processes for data collection, analysis and knowledge capitalization.
• Oversee the beneficiary Complaint Response Mechanism.

Required profile

• University degree in Political Sciences, Public Administration, International Affairs, Economics, Anthropology, Sociology, Statistics or a related field.
• 2‑5 years of professional experience in humanitarian or development organisations.
• Experience with participatory appraisals and project‑cycle management is a plus.
• Strong organisational, communication and team‑management skills.
• Flexibility, adaptability and the ability to work independently under pressure.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Knowledge of the operating region is an asset.
