Child Protection Officer (NO-2) – Fixed Term – Les Cayes, Haiti

About the role

UNICEF Haiti is looking for a dedicated Child Protection Officer to join its Field Office in Les Cayes. The officer will support the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of child protection programmes in a challenging humanitarian context.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and updating child protection strategies and work plans.
• Coordinate and monitor project activities with partners, government agencies and community groups.
• Collect, analyse and report data on child protection indicators.
• Provide technical guidance to field staff and ensure compliance with UNICEF policies and standards.
• Contribute to advocacy efforts and raise awareness on child protection issues.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree in social sciences, child protection, humanitarian affairs or a related field.
• Experience working in child protection or related programmes, preferably in emergency or development settings.
• Strong understanding of child rights frameworks and protection mechanisms.
• Excellent communication skills in English; French proficiency is an asset.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural team and adapt to a volatile environment.
