Advocacy and Communications Officer (Level 2)

About the role

UNICEF Haiti is seeking a results‑driven Advocacy and Communications Officer to join its Port‑au‑Prince team. The role focuses on developing and implementing integrated advocacy and communication strategies that influence policy, strengthen commitments for children, and raise public awareness of children’s rights.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, monitor and evaluate advocacy and communication strategies in collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
• Manage media relations and digital communication channels to enhance UNICEF’s visibility and credibility.
• Provide project and budget support, including monitoring progress and ensuring timely delivery.
• Engage stakeholders, build partnerships and support capacity‑building initiatives for advocacy and communication.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Political Science, Communications, International Relations or related field.
• Minimum two years of experience in advocacy, communications or campaigning at national, regional or global level.
• Proven ability to develop clear theories of change, set measurable objectives and manage project budgets.
• Knowledge of children’s rights, public policy, international development and humanitarian contexts.

Required skills

• Digital communications and management of online platforms.
• Proficiency in French and intermediate English.
