About the role

The United Nations Support Office in Haiti (UNSOH) is seeking a senior finance professional to lead its Finance and Budget Section. Reporting to the Chief Operations and Resources Management, the incumbent will provide strategic financial advice and oversee budgetary processes for mission priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the principal advisor to senior leadership on financial resourcing, stewardship, and organizational performance.
• Lead the development of the mission’s budget, coordinating major resourcing priorities, staff and non‑staff requirements, and applying results‑based budgeting principles.
• Guide programme and resource managers in monitoring budget execution, identifying issues, and implementing timely solutions.
• Oversee financial administration, ensuring compliance with UN Financial Regulations and Rules.
• Prepare financial models, estimates, and cost‑benefit analyses for major operational changes.
