Chief of Section, Supply Chain Management

About the role

The United Nations Support Office in Haiti (UNSOH) is seeking a senior leader to head its Supply Chain Management Section. Reporting to the Chief of Service, Supply Chain Management (D‑1), the Chief of Section will oversee all supply chain activities supporting the Gang Suppression Force, the Integrated Office, Haitian National Police and Armed Forces, as well as technical assistance to the OAS.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in mission planning, ensuring supply chain integration throughout the mission lifecycle.
• Develop and implement the supply chain work plan, including forecasts, priorities and resource allocation.
• Coordinate and monitor overall supply chain strategies, consolidating human and financial resources.
• Adapt the work plan rapidly to support major operational changes.
• Lead a service optimisation programme to improve quality, reduce bottlenecks and establish performance indicators.
• Ensure cost‑effective processes and end‑to‑end supply chain implementation in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Exercise managerial and supervisory control over logistics, technical and operational support services.

Required profile

• P‑5 level senior management experience within a United Nations or large‑scale humanitarian logistics environment.
