Chief of Service, Supply Chain Management

About the role

The United Nations Support Office in Haiti (UNSOH) is seeking a senior professional to lead its Supply Chain Management service (D‑1). Reporting to the Director of Mission Support, the Chief of Service will oversee all supply chain functions that support the Gang Suppression Force, the Integrated Office, the Haitian National Police, the Armed Forces and the Organization of American States.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the supply chain work plan, including forecasts, priorities and resource allocation.
• Coordinate procurement, warehousing, asset and inventory management, transportation planning (air, land, sea) and freight forwarding.
• Establish and monitor performance indicators, identify bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement.
• Adapt the work plan rapidly to support major operational changes and joint missions.
• Consolidate human and financial resources for the service and ensure compliance with UN policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in managing complex supply chain operations, preferably in humanitarian or UN contexts.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, capable of optimizing processes under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with multiple UN agencies and local authorities.
