Chief of Unit, Centralised Warehousing

About the role

The United Nations Support Office in Haiti is seeking a senior professional to lead its Centralised Warehousing Unit. This temporary, full‑time position will oversee planning, administration and performance management of all warehouse activities, ensuring efficient and environmentally responsible supply‑chain operations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, administer and monitor inbound, storage and outbound warehouse processes using the Green SCOR model.
• Develop and manage the unit’s budget, annual work plans and performance indicators.
• Coordinate inventory analysis, cycle counting, physical inventories and stock‑control audits.
• Provide guidance to technical units and senior inventory users on stock levels, re‑order points and movement requirements.
• Implement best practices for inventory management, stock visibility and process efficiency.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree or equivalent professional experience in logistics, supply‑chain management or a related field.
• Significant experience (typically 7+ years) in managing large‑scale warehousing operations, preferably in humanitarian or UN contexts.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, develop budgets and produce strategic work plans.
• Strong analytical skills and familiarity with environmental sustainability initiatives in logistics.
